Judith LaMattina is a retired speech therapist and debut author of a children's picture book series inspired by her beloved service dog, Marcelo. Based in Northern New York, Judi combines her background in communication with her love for storytelling to create engaging narratives that resonate with young readers.

 

Her first book, Marcelo and Elephant: The Meeting introduces children to Marcelo, a huge wooly floppy eared talking dog and his best friend, a very shy, very blue little elephant. 

 

These two characters embark on heartwarming adventures while teaching important lessons about friendship, empathy, and resilience. Judith believes in the power of stories to inspire and educate, aiming to help children develop their communication skills through her writing.
